Product Description

Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Wire Mesh Jiushen offers a wide range of high quality, cost-effective epoxy coated plain steel wire mesh designed to handle challenging environments. Each coating is precision applied and covers the entire surface area of the plain steel wire mesh for strength and durability.

Epoxy coated plain steel screen mesh is made by using the principle of electrostatic spraying to absorb eco-friendly epoxy resin powder on the surface of the plain steel wire mesh, after a certain time of high temperature curing, the epoxy resin powder is melted and covered on the plain steel mesh, so a dense protective layer is formed.

Standards: GB/T 17492-2019

Weaving pattern: plain weave, cut edge/folded edge

Application of Jiushen Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Wire Mesh

Epoxy coated plain steel wire mesh has become an ideal filtration solution for many industries due to its excellent corrosion resistance and strong mechanical strength, widely used in oil filtration, hydraulic systems or chemical processes, which effectively reduce maintenance costs and ensure production efficiency.

Features of Jiushen Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Wire Mesh

After epoxy powder coating, the interweaving point of the iron steel mesh is fixed, the warp and weft wire is vertical, the mesh holes is uniform, not easy to loose and deform, the support for the filter paper is strengthened. Meanwhile, the screen is soft, easy to pleat, the coating is uniform with even and consistent color.

The epoxy coated iron mesh can be manufactured in a variety of sizes, wire gauges, openings and patterns. All of our raw materials are sourced from certified suppliers and manufactured to the highest standards using an innovative process.

Advantages of Jiushen Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Wire Mesh

Size and Appearance

Precise Size and Smooth Appearance: After epoxy coating treatment, the mesh surface is square with no deformation, flat with a maximum fluctuation height on the platform ≤10mm, high size accuracy, and excellent appearance quality.

Coating Process

Moderate Powder Amount and Reasonable Interweaving: The powder amount is controlled at 20-35g/㎡, ensuring both protective performance and flexibility of the steel wire for optimal product balance.

High-Quality Powder, Certification Support: Surface treatment uses oil-resistant and corrosion-resistant low-temperature fast-curing oil-based matting resin paint and weather-resistant polyester paint. Both have passed RoHS and REACH certifications, ensuring environmental friendliness and excellent performance.

Performance

Oil-Resistant and Corrosion-Resistant, Widely Applicable: Excellent resistance to oil and corrosion, withstands hydraulic oil media tests under varying temperatures and durations. The coating surface remains unchanged, suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure hydraulic filtration products.

Strong Weather Resistance and Environmental Friendliness: According to ASTM B117-09 salt spray test standards, the coating shows no change after 96 hours of continuous testing, making it ideal for air filtration and outdoor use in harsh environments.

Strong Adhesion, Strong and Durable: The coating tightly bonds with the steel wire, passing H-level pencil tests, 1kg/50cm impact tests, scratch tests, and anti-fatigue tests to ensure long-term durability without peeling.

High Bendability, Flexible and Foldable: Excellent bending performance allows folding around a 1mm radius steel rod without cracking, offering good flexibility and ease of processing.

Material and Processing

High-Quality Materials, Exquisite Craftsmanship: Made from industrial-grade high-quality steel, using wire drawing annealing and innovative weaving processes, resulting in a soft mesh surface, low elastic modulus, and excellent product quality.

Easy to Process and Shape, Not Easy to Fall Off: After coating, the mesh is easy to fold and shape. Warp and weft wires remain tightly combined, edges do not peel after cutting, ensuring high stability, reliability, and safe usage.

How does Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Wire Mesh Work

Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Wire Mesh works by combining the mechanical strength of steel wire with the protective properties of an epoxy resin coating. The base material is plain steel wire, which is first drawn, straightened, and woven into a uniform mesh structure. This creates a strong grid that provides structural support and reinforcement in various applications such as construction, fencing, filtration, and industrial flooring.

After the mesh is formed, it undergoes a surface treatment process to ensure proper adhesion of the coating. The steel is typically cleaned and sometimes lightly roughened to remove oil, rust, and impurities. Then, an epoxy powder or liquid coating is applied evenly over the entire surface of the wire mesh. In many modern processes, electrostatic spraying is used so that the epoxy particles are attracted to the grounded steel surface, ensuring uniform coverage.

Once coated, the mesh is heated in a curing oven. During this stage, the epoxy material melts, flows, and chemically cross-links to form a hard, continuous protective layer around each steel wire. This cured epoxy layer acts as a barrier, preventing moisture, oxygen, and chemicals from directly contacting the steel surface.

Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Wire Mesh Advantages

Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Wire Mesh offers several important advantages that make it widely used in filtration, construction and industrial applications.

First, it has excellent corrosion resistance. The epoxy coating forms a continuous protective barrier that prevents moisture, oxygen, and chemicals from reaching the steel surface. This greatly reduces rust formation, especially in humid, coastal, or chemically aggressive environments.

Second, it provides high durability and long service life. Compared with uncoated steel mesh, the epoxy layer significantly slows down wear and environmental damage, allowing the material to maintain its performance for many years with minimal maintenance.

Third, it has good mechanical strength. The steel core retains its original tensile strength and rigidity, so the mesh can effectively support reinforcement, load distribution, and structural stability in filtration or protective systems.

Finally, it is cost-effective in the long term. Although the initial cost may be higher than plain steel mesh, reduced maintenance and longer lifespan make it more economical overall.
